Nuclear Matters applauds the introduction of HB 6, legislation that could protect more than 4,300 Ohio jobs through the creation of the Ohio Clean Air Program that includes nuclear power, which plays a critical role in a clean energy future. Nuclear energy accounts for more than 90 percent of all carbon-free energy generated in the Buckeye State and contributes more than $30 million in state and local taxes. This legislation is critical to Ohio’s future as an industrial leader and presents an opportunity for legislators to save vital, well-paying jobs. We strongly encourage legislators to support preserving Ohio’s clean energy future.
